How did the weather know?
So, had a good relaxing weekend. Went to visit sister-in-law's family in MA. It is so darn scenic and beautiful up there. I love it!!! And the weather was 89/90 degrees all days. Now, how did the weather know it was the Memorial weekend? It was in the 70s just last week. Raining, cloudy, gloomy, and weekend was gorgeous. Hey, I am not complaining, just curious.
Being at work is soooooooooo blah......hence the blah post. Sorry, hopefully something exciting shall happen and I can post about it.

Losing my mind!!!
So, you know you have finally lost it, when you pick up your kids from school, put them in their car seats, drive home, takes about 7-10 mins in traffic. Open the garage door, and a little voice from the back says 'Mama, you forgot to put my seat belt on'. OMG!!!!! So loosing it!!! Images of car accidents, daughter being thrown around, runs through my mind. Promise myself never to do that again. It has happened one more time after that. *Sigh* sometimes I just need help :)

looks like we'll have to ask D to remind you before you drive instead of after ... :D

Seems like you are so freaked out about forgetting to buckle up the kids, that now you won't forget at all...So I guess now its okay. Knowing you, I am sure that from here on out whenever you walk toward your car, the first thing you'll think about is 'seatbelt', like I do with Baskin Robbins...'ice-cream'. Ok, bad example, but am sure you get what I am saying.

Life in this 'Phoren' land
So, faced a hard reality this weekend. My kids only know English!!! *gasp*
That is my fault entirely. I never made the effort to teach them or speak in hindi or sindhi only. So from now, its only non-english at home. Hubby dear will still converse in English, which is the best. Otherwise the kiddos will forget every language they know :)
Now when my older one sings 'Teri aankhen kaali kaali' (Mahi Ve), she will know what it means. As long as she doesn't ask me to translate some of the other cheesy songs out there....
